Innovative electromagnetic eye protection
A group of scientists from the Institute of Electronics, working with P. Prof. Paolo Di Barba from the University of Pavia conducts research on the application of automatic optimization algorithms to problems of computational electromagnetism.
Their latest paper presents a reduced numerical model of the face. It was used to design an eye shield that reduces the energy of electromagnetic waves emitted by the 5G transmitter. Thanks to this, the power density in the eye area has been reduced by almost seven times.
